Mauri Fermentation is the leading bakery ingredient company in Malaysia.
The existing aeration at Mauri Fermentation used surface aerators. For this type of tank a diffused aeration system is more efficient then surface aerators.
The surface aeration system required two surface aerators (power consumption = 2 x 40 kW) and two submersible mixers (power consumption = 2 x 11 kW).
This system was replaced by a diffused aeration system utilising one roots type blower (power consumption = 45 kW).
The power consumption reduction was: (2 x 40) + (2 x 11) – 45 = 57 kW
The savings in power resulted in a payback time of 2.5 years.
