Primary treatment forms the first stage in every treatment plant.
These are some of the processes that can be used:
- Screening (coarse and fine)
- Equalization and cooling
- Coagulation and flocculation
- Dissolved Air Flotation
- Clarification (Similar to clarification as explained under secondary treatment)
